Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Brumas defeated Leones in Jinotega 86-76. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican point guard Evander Ortiz (180-1997, college: PR-Bayamon) who scored 17 points and 9 assists. American-Puerto Rican forward Jonathan Ocasio (196-1992, college: New Haven) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Venezuelan center Miguel Bolivar (205-1992) who recorded 29 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leones will play next round against Tigres trying to get back on the winning streak. Brumas will try to continue on its current victory against Jaguares in Managua.

In the last two games of round 3 winless Tigres were defeated by Costa Caribe in Managua 89-85. Flecheros beat Real Esteli at home 71-67.
The best stats of 3rd round was 22 points and 6 rebounds by Bernardo Polanco of Flecheros.




Costa Caribe - Tigres 89-85

There was no surprise in Managua where Tigres (0-3) were defeated by Costa Caribe (2-1) 89-85 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican Robiel Morales (-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Puerto Rican guard Jorge Matos (185-1992) chipped in 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Tyrell Mendenhall (206-1998, college: Caldwell Tech) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks and Puerto Rican guard Ezequiel Colon (193-1999, college: Lehman) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Costa Caribe is looking forward to face Real Esteli (#6) at home in the next round. Tigres will play against Leones and hope to get finally their first victory.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Flecheros' (2-1) home victory over Real Esteli (0-3) 71-67 on Wednesday. Flecheros made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game, while Real Esteli only scored seven points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was American power forward Eden Ewing (204-1997, college: Texas Southern) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Dominican Bernardo Polanco (189-1994) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Flecheros players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Puerto Rican forward Xavier Zambrana (193-1991) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Francisco Garth (195-1999) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Flecheros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
