Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The biggest surprise of round 7 was guest Flecheros' (3-3) easy road victory over Leones (#5) 88-52 on Thursday evening. Flecheros held Leones to an opponent 24.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.2 percent accuracy of the winners. Flecheros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Leones' players. American forward Glen Rice Jr (198-1991, college: Georgia Tech) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flecheros moved-up to third place, which they share with Costa Caribe. Leones lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Real Esteli. Flecheros is looking forward to face Costa Caribe (#3) in Managua in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Leones will have a break next round.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Managua: Jaguares (#1) and Costa Caribe (#3). Jaguares (6-0) crushed visiting Costa Caribe (3-3) by 19 points 103-84. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Josmel Martinez (198-1999, college: Broward CC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Luis Lopez contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Glen Rice Jr (198-1991, college: Georgia Tech) answered with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for Costa Caribe. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Jaguares have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Costa Caribe at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Flecheros. Jaguares will play against bottom-ranked Tigres (#7) in Corinto in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Costa Caribe will play against Flecheros (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Brumas (4-2) against seventh ranked Tigres (1-5) on Thursday night. Visiting Brumas were defeated by Tigres in a tough game in Corinto 82-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Brumas. It was a great evening for Ezequiel Colon who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side Jonathan Ocasio responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Tigres maintains seventh place with 1-5 record. Loser Brumas keep the second position with two games lost. Tigres will meet at home league's leader Jaguares in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brumas will play against Real Esteli and hope to secure a win.

The best stats of 7th round was 24 points and 10 rebounds by Juan Herrera of Brumas.




Jaguares - Costa Caribe 103-84
