Tigres (3-1) recorded its first loss in Jinotega on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by sixth ranked Brumas (3-1) 103-56. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tigres. Brumas dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Tigres' 38. Brumas forced 25 Tigres turnovers and outrebounded them 57-34 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Forward Herman Mullins (-2003) fired 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Yadier Altamirano chipped in 23 points. Mario Valdez produced 12 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brumas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 3-1 record, which they share with defeated Tigres.

Mineros - La Trinidad 76-69

There was no surprise in Puerto Cabezas where 14th ranked La Trinidad (1-2) was defeated by eleventh ranked Mineros (2-2) 76-69 on Sunday. Mineros forced 25 La Trinidad turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Eugenio Rattrey who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds and Jose Mccurbia who added 12 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Mineros players scored in double figures. At the losing side Luder Hernandez (195-1995) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Mario Garcia (182-2000) scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
