TBN top team - Flecheros (9-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Tigres (6-3) 87-53. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tigres. Flecheros dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tigres' 30. Flecheros forced 22 Tigres turnovers and outrebounded them 45-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Flecheros looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Tigres' players. The former international swingman Francisco Garth (195-1999) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winners and international Kevin Andino (186-2002) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Miguel Herrera with 12 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Flecheros have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record, which they share with Leones. Tigres at the other side keep the seventh position with three games lost.

Christopher Ayestas came up with 12 points for Nicaragua U16 in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Los Bufalos moved-up to fourteenth place. Nicaragua U16 lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost.
An interesting game took place in Esteli where higher ranked Tipitapa (4-5) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked La Trinidad (3-4) 59-55 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tipitapa. The best player for the winners was Mario Garcia who scored 21 points and 6 assists. La Trinidad's coach used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Oscar Ramirez who recorded 16 points. La Trinidad moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with La Libertad. Loser Tipitapa keeps the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Mineros.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 9: Sebaco was destroyed by Real Esteli on the opponent's court 103-63. Brumas outscored Mineros in a home game 127-81. Americas 2 rolled over Leon on the road 123-72. UAM Univ. crushed Pescadores on its own court 95-67. San Isidro lost to undefeated Jaguares in Managua 46-117. Academia PLAV lost to undefeated Leones at home 31-101.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 12 points, 20 rebounds and 4 blocks by Elijah Allen of Leones.



Los Bufalos - Nicaragua U16 83-50

Bottom-ranked Nicaragua U16 (0-9) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to seventeenth ranked Los Bufalos (3-6) 83-50.
