The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Brumas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Brumas smashed 17th ranked Frente in Jinotega 135-72. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Rafael Mendoza (177-2001) who scored 22 points and 6 assists. Forward Herman Mullins (-2003) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Kurlam Chamorro (189-1989) produced 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brumas (15-1) have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Leones. Frente lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with ten games lost.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Managua: Leones (#4) and Americas 2 (#8). Leones (15-1) crushed visiting Americas 2 (8-7) by 29 points 93-64. Americas 2 at the other side keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Tigres and Mineros.
