Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 4 in the LPB took place in Panama City. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Lobos (3-3) to fourth ranked Halcones (3-4) 87-85 on Wednesday evening. Halcones outrebounded Lobos 50-35 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Grant Alejandro (199-1993) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Bryan Waithe (188-1994, college: Lindenwood) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Halcones' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Costa Rican swingman Daniel Shedden (191-1996, college: MSUB) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds for Lobos. Halcones maintains fourth position with 3-4 record. Newly promoted Lobos keep the third place with three games lost. Halcones' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Panama City Atletico.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Panama City: Atletico (#1) and Halcones (#5). Halcones were defeated at home 70-83 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Worth to mention a great performance of Jonathan King (193-1990, college: ACU) who helped to win the game recording 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Aaron Gedeon who added 9 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Brandon Franklin (191-1993, college: Pacific Union) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Atletico (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Halcones lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. They share the position with Centinelas. Atletico will play against league's second-placed Caballos in Aguadulce in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Halcones will play against Lobos (#3) to get more than just one victory in their record.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Caballos (4-2) against sixth ranked Centinelas (1-5) on Wednesday night. Host Caballos were defeated by Centinelas in Aguadulce 76-64. The winners were led by Lucas Chavez who scored that evening 14 points and 9 rebounds. Centinelas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 22 points and 8 rebounds by Michael Hicks did not help to save the game for Caballos. Centinelas left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Universitarios. Caballos at the other side keep the second position with two games lost. Centinelas will meet at home higher ranked Lobos (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Caballos will play against the league's leader Atletico in Panama City and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 4 Atletico Nacional beat Lobos on the road 80-71. Caballos won against Halcones on its own court 84-68.

Lobos - Atletico Nacional 71-80

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Atletico (7-0) beat on the road 3rd ranked Lobos (3-3) 80-71 on Friday. Atletico had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by naturalized American Adalberto Rojas (200-1986) who scored that evening 23 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Joel Munoz (183-1980) supported him with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Atletico's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points and 9 rebounds by center Jesus Lombardo (201-2000) did not help to save the game for Lobos. Costa Rican Victor Arias (197-1995) added 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Atletico have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Newly promoted Lobos keep the third place with three games lost.
