LPB Round 4 (Regular Season): Dragonesxx' lose to Toros

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Dragones (5-2) in Panama City on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Toros (5-1) 79-57. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Toros dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Dragones's 18. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Amilcar Sanchez (191-2001) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds and center Jaime Lloreda (204-1980, college: LSU) who added 13 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Justin Quintero (193-1998) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toros have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Dragonesxx' at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost.

Tyler Gaskins fired 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Jorge Matos produced 28 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Correcaminos maintains third position with 4-2 record behind leader Toros. Loser Panteras keep the fifth place with five games lost.




Correcaminos - Toros 66-81
