Colonias made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Ciudad N. turnovers. Colonias shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. The best player for the winners was Diego Silva who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American forward Samuel Givens (198-1989, college: Drexel) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Colonias' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Carlos Lopez produced 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the guests. Colonias maintains second place with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Olimpia K., which they share with San Jose. Ciudad N. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Colonias' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion Felix Perez.

American guard Charles Hinkle (198-1988, college: American) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. Danjel Purifoy contributed with 19 points for the winners. Colombian Carlos Morales (192-2001) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for Campo Alto. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Olimpia K. have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-0 record. Campo Alto lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Olimpia K. will play against Amambay (#5) in the next round. Campo Alto will play against Luqueno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Luqueno (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 79-60 loss to sixth ranked San Alfonso (4-6) in Luque on Thursday evening. It was a great evening for Desmond Holloway who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Donatto Ferro responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. San Alfonso maintains sixth place with 4-6 record. Luqueno lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. San Alfonso will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Luqueno will play against Campo Alto (#7) in Asuncion and hopes to get finally their first victory.
In the last game of round 11 San Jose crushed Amambay in Asuncion 93-50.

Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four
San Jose players scored in double figures. Brazilian guard
Osmar Ventura (190-2004) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and
Hugo Ramos scored 13 points and 4 steals. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for
San Jose. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Colonias.
Amambay at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost.
