It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of San Jose. They outrebounded San Jose 47-27 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Rodney Mercado (191-1999) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international point guard Edgar Riveros (184-1991) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Robin Perry replied with 34 points (!!!) for San Jose. At the losing side Mccry Fenner responded with 20 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Colonias (2-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with San Jose. Ciudad N. at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Campo Alto and San Alfonso. The winners were led by Juan Luis Abeiro who scored that evening 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by Maxsuel Urnau did not help to save the game for San Alfonso. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Felix Perez moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Amambay. Loser San Alfonso dropped to the bottom position with three games lost. They share it with Ciudad N. and Campo Alto. Colonias dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Ciudad N.'s 32. They outrebounded Ciudad N. 51-29 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Colonias players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Ciudad N.'s players. This time Amambay used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Asuncion 101-95 on Thursday night. Amambay looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by Hugo Ramos who scored that evening 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Brazilian guard Osmar Ventura (190-2004) supported him with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Amambay's coach Ramon Baez used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 26 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists by naturalized Brazilian forward Jeferson Arguello (198-2000) did not help to save the game for Campo Alto.
