Here is the weekly review of the top performing Puerto Rican players, who play currently abroad.
#1. This week's number one is an international guard
Gian Clavell (193-93, college:
Colorado St., currently plays in Greece). He could not help
Promitheas (4-1) in their last game. Despite Clavell's very good performance Promitheas lost
101-113 on the road to the lower-ranked (#4) AEK.
He was the top scorer with 45 points. Clavell also added 4 rebounds in 36 minutes on the court.
Clavell has relatively good stats this year: 14.8ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 46.9%, 3FGP: 28.8% and FT: 75.6% in 10 games he played so far.
He is currently a member of the Puerto Rican senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward
Devon Collier (203-91, college:
Oregon St., currently plays in Uruguay). Collier was the major contributor in
Nacional's victory against the closely-ranked Urunday (7-4)
91-88 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB last Monday.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. Collier also added 4 assists and 3 blocks.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Nacional De Futbol Montevideo (7-4) is placed third in the LUB.
This season Collier has relatively solid stats: 13.8ppg, 9.8rpg, 2.2apg, 1.4bpg, 1.2spg, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 67.9%.
He has a dual citizenship: Puerto Rican and American.
Collier is in the roster of the Puerto Rican senior national team. He used to play for Caciques de Humacao in Puerto Rican league.
#3. The Puerto Rican player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international forward
Jonathan Rodriguez (196-87, college:
Campbell, currently plays in Colombia). Rodriguez led
Titanes to a victory over the closely-ranked Tigrillos (5-4) crushing them
103-68 in the Colombian LPB in Friday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Rodriguez recorded 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Titanes de Barranquilla (9-0) is placed first in the LPB.
So far his team won all one games in the Finals.
Rodriguez has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.1ppg, 7.8rpg, 3.6apg, 2FGP: 63.5%(73-115), 3FGP: 47.5%(28-59) and FT: 85.4%.
Rodriguez is another player who holds two passports: Dominican Republic and Puerto Rican.
Ex-Gallitos de Isabela player is also a member of the Puerto Rican senior national team.
#4. Forward
Owens Perez (203-92, currently plays in El Salvador) contributed to a
Santa Tecla's victory against the closely-ranked San Salvador (4-8)
97-93 in the Salvadorean Liga MB (second division) in Tuesday night's game.
Perez recorded 11 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 34 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Santa Tecla BC (12-2) is placed first in the Liga MB.
Perez has reliable stats this year: 14.7ppg, 16.5rpg and 3.4apg in 21 games.
He used to play for the Puerto Rican U18 national team
back in 2010.
#5. International swingman
Justin Reyes (193-95, college:
STAC, currently plays in Dominican Republic) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams
San Lazaro (2-1) in their last game on Friday. Despite Reyes' very good performance San Lazaro was badly defeated
100-83 by the leading Mauricio Baez.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 13 rebounds. Reyes also added 4 assists.
This season Reyes has very high stats. He averages: 15.1ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.9apg and 1.5spg.
Reyes has both American and Puerto Rican nationalities.
He plays currently for the Puerto Rican national team.
Reyes used to play for Indios de Mayaguez in Puerto Rican league.

Lietkabelis (23-13) in their last game. Despite Vinales' very good performance Lietkabelis lost
80-87 on the road to the second-ranked Rytas.
He was the top scorer with 21 points in 32 minutes.
Vinales has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.1ppg, 1.9rpg and 4.5apg in 36 games he played so far.
Vinales has a dual citizenship: Puerto Rican and American.
He used to play for Bayamon in Puerto Rican league.
#2. Ivan Aska (201-F-90, agency:
011 Sports, college:
Murray St., currently plays in North Macedonia) was not able to help
Rabotnicki (15-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Rabotnicki was edged
88-87 in Kavadarci by the lower-ranked (#3) Euro Nickel.
Aska was the second best scorer with 15 points. He also added 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 30 minutes.
It was Rabotnicki's first loss after three consecutive victories.
Aska has reliable stats this year: 13.8ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.3spg in nine games.
He is another player who holds two passports: U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rican.
#3. Denilson Fonseca (190-G-98, currently plays in Luxembourg) managed to help Basket Esch to win against the closely-ranked Contern (14-8)
100-90 in the Luxembourg Total League on Wednesday night.
Fonseca recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
Basket Esch (15-5) is placed fourth in the Total League.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
It's Fonseca's fifth season with the team.
His overall stats this year are: 4.2ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.1apg.
