Fajardo nipped Arecibo to even the series. Cariduros made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (187-92) saved the victory by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Victor Rudd (206-91, college: S.Florida) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian-American power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Mexican center Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: SJSU) added 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Capitanes.
