Defending champion Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (LBL) agreed terms with 28-year old American ex-international small forward Aaron Harrison (198cm-99kg-1994, college: Kentucky, agency: Slash Sports) for new 2023-24 season. Harrison is the second import player in the roster as Palestinian Sani Sakakini signed here earlier.
He played this summer at Indios de Mayaguez in Puerto Rican BSN league. He managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 6 BSN games just recently he had 14.5ppg, 2.8rpg and 4.0apg. He also played for Capitanes (BSN) where in 14 games he recorded 11.9ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.7apg and 1.4spg.
Harrison has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. He was a member of USA Senior National Team back in 2018.
Harrison is quite experienced player. Harrison's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in seven different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. Harrison has played previously professionally in Greece (Olympiacos), Slovenia (Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana), Taiwan (Steelers), Turkey (Turk Telekom and Galatasaray), NBA (Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets), NBA G League (OKC Blue, College Park SkyHawks, Stockton Kings, Delaware Blue Coats and Greensboro Swarm) and NBA Summer League (Boston Celtics). He was voted to Turkish League All-Star Game back in 2019 and 2020.
His college team made it to the Turkish Cup Final Four in 2020.
Harrison graduated from University of Kentucky in 2015 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
