Puerto Rico announces twelve-man roster for final AmeriCup window

Led by the debut of Markus Howard (179-PG-1999, college: Marquette) and the return of Tremont Waters, Puerto Rico announced their twelve-man roster for the last AmeriCup Qualifier to be played in San Juan on February 20 and 23.

The backcourt will be led by both guards and the rest of the roster includes Gian Clavell, Stephen Thompson, Ethan Thompson, Phillip Wheeler, Alex Morales, Isaiah Piñeiro, Jordan Cintrón, Arnaldo Toro, George Conditt and Tai Odiase.

Odiase makes his debut with the national team after being naturalized by the Puerto Rican Federation last year. His status in BSN was changed from import to native as well.

Puerto Rico plays the United States on February 20 and then Cuba on February 23. They need at least one more win to qualify for the AmeriCup.
