Emmanuel Mudiay gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSN (by Hoops Agents)

DR Congolese Emmanuel Mudiay (196-G-1996) had a very impressive game in the last week for league's leader Piratas de Quebradillas and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 20.
The 28-year old guard had the game-high 38 points adding six rebounds and seven assists for Quebradillas in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Bayamon (#1, 18-7) 93-91. It allowed Piratas to consolidate first place in the Puerto Rican BSN. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Quebradillas has a very solid 15-8 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Mudiay had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Piratas' top player in his first season with the team. Mudiay has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.4ppg. Mudiay is in league's top in assists (6th best: 5.5apg) and averages solid 55.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young Mali Cheick Diallo (206-C/F-1996) of Osos de Manati. Diallo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 36 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Osos was edged by slightly higher-ranked Aguada (#6, 6-14) 90-86. Manati managed to keep the same 6th spot in Group B. 18 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Osos managed to get this year. Diallo is one of the most experienced players at Manati and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.2ppg (#6). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last week was American Darius Bazley (206-F-2000) of Leones de Ponce (#4). Bazley scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Bazley's great performance the Leones lost 78-90 to slightly lower-ranked San German (#5, 9-13). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Ponce needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Group A. Their record is 11 victories and 10 lost games. Bazley has a very solid season. In 7 games in Puerto Rico he scored 13.7ppg. He also has 8.9rpg, 1.6bpg and a FGP of 52.2%.

9. Gabe York (190-SG-1993) of San German - 28 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Sam Mennenga (206-F-2001) of San German - 26 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
