In 2011, he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets (NBA) in the first round (22nd overall). He graduated from Morehead State, and it will be his 15th season in pro basketball. Faried also represented the USA at the World Cup in Spain 11 years ago. Faried's team won Gold and he averaged over 12 ppg. He is a very experienced player. Faried has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and of course North America). He has played professionally in China (Guangsha Lions), Mexico (Soles), Russia (PBC CSKA Moscow), Venezuela (Guaiqueries), NBA (Houston Rockets), Puerto Rico (Leones), NBA G League (Austin Spurs, Grand Rapids Gold, and Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico), and NBA Summer League (Portland Trail Blazers).
