Indios outrebounded Capitanes 49-28 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American power forward Nick Perkins (203-1996, college: Buffalo) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Alex Hamilton (193-1993, college: La Tech, agency: SLN) helped adding 13 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international Alfonso Plummer (185-1997, college: Illinois) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Jamil Wilson (201-1990, college: Marquette) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Capitanes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Piratas shot 60.9 percent from the field. Piratas outrebounded Leones 33-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. Piratas shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Italian forward Grant Basile (206-2000, college: Virginia Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Thomas Robinson (203-1991, college: Kansas) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 24 points and American guard Matt Mooney (189-1997, college: Texas Tech) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively. Five Piratas and four Leones players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vaqueros made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was Dominican swingman Chris Duarte (197-1997, college: Oregon) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American center Javale McGee (213-1988, college: Nevada) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Alex Franklin (198-1988, college: Siena) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Cangrejeros made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Criollos were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for forward Angel Rodriguez (193-1992, college: PR-Bayamon) who led the winners and scored 29 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). American forward Kenneth Faried (203-1989, college: Morehead St.) accounted for 12 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side. Five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. American swingman Onzie Branch (201-1991, college: Gardner-Webb) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Louis King (201-1999, college: Oregon) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Criollos in the defeat. Criollos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
