Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brandon Knight (190-1991, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 6 rebounds and forward RJ Melendez (201-2002, college: MSU) who added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Alex Hamilton (193-1993, college: La Tech, agency: SLN) responded with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Nick Perkins (203-1996, college: Buffalo) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Indios players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Leones players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by American guard Michael Devoe (196-1999, college: Georgia Tech) who scored that evening 23 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import power forward Brady Manek (206-1998, college: UNC) supported him with 15 points and 8 assists. Leones' coach Carlos Morales allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by American-Italian forward Grant Basile (206-2000, college: Virginia Tech) did not help to save the game for Piratas. International point guard Gian Clavell (193-1993, college: Colorado St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
