Cangrejeros looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Vaqueros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-1992, college: Miami, FL) had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Kenneth Faried (203-1989, college: Morehead St.) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. American center Javale McGee (213-1988, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Italian forward Danilo Gallinari (208-1988) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Vaqueros' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.

Indios' coach Ivan Velez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists by American Maurice Kemp (203-1991, college: ECU) did not help to save the game for Leones.
