24 personal fouls committed by Vaqueros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kenneth Faried (203-1989, college: Morehead St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard John Jenkins (193-1991, college: Vanderbilt, agency: Slash Sports) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Javale McGee (213-1988, college: Nevada) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Italian forward Danilo Gallinari (208-1988) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Leones players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) who scored that evening 23 points and naturalized Nicaraguan Jared Ruiz (188-1992) supported him with 18 points. Five Leones players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by American power forward Nick Perkins (203-1996, college: Buffalo) did not help to save the game for Indios. His fellow American import point guard Alex Hamilton (193-1993, college: La Tech, agency: SLN) added 17 points and 8 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.
