Vaqueros outrebounded Leones 36-20 including 26 on the defensive glass. American center Javale McGee (213-1988, college: Nevada) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Gary Browne (185-1993, college: WVU) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Vaqueros players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) responded with 24 points and the former international power forward Jordan Murphy (200-1997, college: Minnesota) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
