Uruguay - Venezuela 70-74 OT Venezuela edged Uruguay in overtime to finish in the fifth position. Jose Bracho (SG) and Luis Llamos (F) recorded 17 points each to lead the charge. Uruguay jumped to an 18:13 lead after ten minutes. But Venezuela quickly bounced back. They leveled things up at 28 at halftime. The teams traded baskets throughout the second half. The winners had to be decided in overtime. Venezuela held Uruguay to just 6 points in the extra period and snatched a tough win. Miguel Perez (PF) provided 11 points for the winners. Martin Rojas (196-PF-98) responded with 15 points and 10 rebounds for Uruguay.

Colombia - Ecuador 72-63 Colombia wrapped up their South American U17 campaign on a winning note. They nipped Ecuador to occupy the 7th overall position. Romario Roque came up with 27 points and 11 rebounds to pace the winning side. The teams were tied at 26 after the first half. However Colombia poured in 46 points in the second half and marched to the victory. Soren De Luque delivered 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Francisco Bedoya responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds for Ecuador.

Brazil - Chile 59-55 Brazil held off Chile in a tough semifinal battle in Chaco. Rafael Munford (192-G/F-98) tossed in 16 points and pulled down 7 rebounds to lead the effort. Chile rallied to a comfortable 32:23 halftime lead. But Brazil turned things around in the second half. They got within four points at the final break. Brazil went on an 18:10 run in the fourth period and snatched the victory. Caue Pereira provided 8 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Nicolas Aguirre (176-PG-97) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds for Chile.
Venezuela - Ecuador 91-62 Venezuela held off Ecuador to set up the clash versus Uruguay for the fifth position at the tournament. Jose Bracho (SG) posted 26 points and 6 rebounds to lead the winners. Venezuela claimed a 36:33 halftime lead. They went on a strong 32:16 rally in the third period to clear off for good. Francisco Bedoya responded with 13 points for Ecuador.
