Callistus Eziukwu joins Trouville

Club Trouville Montevideo (LUB) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 34-year old American center Callistus Eziukwu (208-85kg-85, college: GVSU). He joins another USA player Anthony Danridge who is already in the roster.
Nacional. In 41 LUB games in Uruguay he recorded 9.4ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.3apg, 1.0spg and 2.0bpg last season. Eziukwu helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The previous (17-18) season he played at Flores Trinidad where in 41 LUB games he averaged 14.0ppg, 10.0rpg and 2.2apg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay LUB Honorable Mention, All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week.
Among other achievements Eziukwu's team won Estonian Cup in 2011. He received also Eurobasket.com All-FIBA Europe Cup Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2016.
Eziukwu is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in ten different countries. Eziukwu has played previously professionally in Cyprus (Apoel), France, Greece (Panelefsiniakos and Aiolos Trikallon), Israel (Maccabi Ashdod), Italy, Mexico, Poland (AZS Koszalin and Czarni), Romania, Turkey and Ukraine (Mykolaiv and Kryvbas).
He attended Grand Valley State University until 2008 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A true 6-10 inside player who is very athletic and has long arms. Set new records in rebounding and shot-blockin in college, also he's a great kid who can play for his team. Can score inside, thanks to a good jump hook.
