   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Bruno Fitipaldo (183-91, agency: Pro Sports, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). He led his Spanish team Burgos to a victory against the closely-ranked Antwerp Giants (0-1) 90-76 in the Basketball Champions League in Wednesday night's game. Fitipaldo recorded 14 points and added 8 assists in a mere 18 minutes on the court. San Pablo Inmobiliaria Miraflores Burgos (1-0) is placed 27th in the Basketball Champions League. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Fitipaldo averages: 6.0ppg, 4.3apg, 2FGP: 57.1%, 3FGP: 33.3% in three games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Uruguayan senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international center Esteban Batista (208-83, agency: Duran International, currently plays in Argentina). Batista led San Lorenzo to a 1-point victory over the fifth-ranked Penarol (2-4) 90-89 in the Argentinian La Liga last Friday. He was MVP of the game. Batista recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds. San Lorenzo de Almagra (4-1) is placed first in Grupo D group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Batista has relatively good stats this season: 11.0ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 60.5%(23-38). He has a dual citizenship: Spanish and Uruguayan. Batista is in the roster of the Uruguayan senior national team.

   #3. The Uruguayan player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Luciano Parodi (182-94, currently plays in Brazil). He was the major contributor in Vivo/Franca's victory against the 13th-ranked Corinthians (0-1) 74-68 in a derby game in the Brazilian NBB on Sunday night. Parodi recorded 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 31 minutes. SESI-SP/Franca Basquete Sao Paulo (11-1) is placed first in the NBB. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Parodi has relatively solid stats: 12.1ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.3apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 54.7%, 3FGP: 46.2%(30-65) and FT: 77.8% in 14 games. He is also a member of the Uruguayan senior national team.

   #4. Forward Joaquin Rodriguez (198-99, currently plays in Argentina) could not help the league outsider Estudiantes Concordia (0-7) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Rodriguez's very good performance the fifth-placed Estudiantes Concordia (0-7) was badly defeated 88-69 on the road by the higher-ranked La Union (#3) in the Grupo A group. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Rodriguez also added 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. It's Rodriguez's first season with the team. Rodriguez's overall stats this year are: 7.6ppg, 2.0rpg and 3.4apg. He is also Uruguayan national team player.

International power forward Mathias Calfani (204-92, also represented by Pro Sports, currently plays in Japan) contributed to a 3-point Toshiba Thunders' victory against the fifth-ranked Niigata Albirex (1-5) 70-67 in the Japanese B1 League last Monday. Calfani recorded 11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and made 3 blocks in 23 minutes. Kawasaki Brave Thunders (5-1) are placed first in Central group. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Calfani's overall stats are: 8.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.0apg, 1.2bpg and 2.2spg in six games. He plays currently for the Uruguayan national team.

Forward Emiliano Serres (205-97, another player represented by Pro Sports, currently plays in Argentina) managed to help Obras Basket Buenos Aires to win against the fifth-ranked Hispano Americano de Rio Gallegos (2-4) 74-69 in the Argentinian La Liga on Wednesday night. Serres scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Obras Basket Buenos Aires (4-2) is placed second in Grupo C group. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Serres' total stats this season are: 4.5ppg and 4.3rpg. He is international player as he played for the Uruguayan senior team one years ago.

Former international forward Maximiliano Sole (195-88, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Pozuelo (0-3) 91-74 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) in Saturday night's game. Sole scored 6 points and added 3 assists in only 13 minutes. Real Madrid II (4-1) is placed third in Group B. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Sole has been at the team for four years. This season his total stats are: 5.5ppg and 3.5rpg in four games. Sole used to play for the Uruguayan national team four years ago.

   #8. Forward Matias Guerra (201-92, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Palma II in their game against Castelldefels (2-2) in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). Guerra recorded 8 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Palma II (#13) was defeated 71-58 at home by the higher-ranked Castelldefels (#8) in the Group C-B. So far Palma II lost all four games in the Regular Season. Guerra has reliable stats this season: 10.3ppg, 14.3rpg and 1.3spg. He used to play for the Uruguayan U18 national team back in 2010.

Former U18 international small forward Rodrigo Deus (196-97, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Cazorla (0-2) in their game against Andujar (1-1) in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). Deus was the second best scorer with 9 points. He also added 4 passes in 27 minutes. But Cazorla (#8) was crushed 96-61 on their home court in Cazorla by the higher-ranked (#5) Andujar in the Group D-A. Deus averaged so far 12.5ppg, 2.0rpg and 3.0apg in two games. He used to play for the Uruguayan U18 national team five years ago.

   #1. Santiago Ramirez (198-F-93, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Alginet (1-1) to beat UCAM Murcia II (2-0). Ramirez recorded only 4 points. It was his first game for Alginet this season. Alginet (#4) was crushed 86-55 on the road by the higher-ranked UCAM Murcia II (#3) in the Group E-B. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go.

   #2. Diego Soarez (205-C-87, currently plays in Spain) led Ponferrada CDP to a victory against the ninth-ranked Cocinas.com (2-4) 85-80 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Saturday night. Soarez scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes. Bierzo Fitness Dentomedic CDP Ponferrada (1-5) is placed 12th in East group. It was his team's first victory after five consecutive loses. Soarez has averaged so far 3.8ppg and 4.5rpg in six games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Uruguayan.
