Dennis McKinney gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso (by Hoops Agents)

American Dennis McKinney (194-G/F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Club Trouville Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 27-year old swingman had the game-high 27 points adding three rebounds and three assists for Trouville in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Verdirrojo (#14, 0-1) with 18-point margin 76-58. Thanks to this victory Trouville moved-up to the 7th position in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Trouville won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game McKinney had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Trouville and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Mount Mercy University graduate has very impressive stats this year. McKinney is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.0ppg. McKinney is in league's top in and averages solid 2.0bpg and 75.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young point guard Juan Viana (180-PG-1996) of Stockholmo Montevideo. Viana impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. It was enough for Stockolmo to edge Lagomar (0-1) by 2 points 72-70. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Viana is one of the most experienced players at Stockolmo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#3). He also recorded 8.0 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Stockolmo's star - Brazilian Rafael Rodrigues (213-C-1987). Rodrigues scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Stockholmo Montevideo, helping his team with a 72-70 win against Lagomar (#9, 0-1). Stockolmo has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Rodrigues also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Rodrigues as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.

10. Ezequiel Bell (202-F/C-1999) of Olimpia - 13 points and 11 rebounds
