Charles Mitchell (ex Niigata A.) is a newcomer at Nacional

Nacional De Futbol Montevideo (LUB) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-122kg-93, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports). He already started the season at Niigata Albirex in Japanese B1 League. In only one game he had 12 points, 7 rebounds and 1 block this season.
The most of last season Mitchell spent at Bank of Taiwan in Taiwanese SBL where in 30 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.5ppg, 12.0rpg, 2.7apg and 1.3spg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese SBL Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week. He also spent pre-season at Ferro (La Liga) in Argentinian league.
Thanks to Mitchell's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Mitchell has played previously professionally in Holland, Czech Republic (Olomoucko) and The Basketball Tournament (Angel's Atlanta).
Among many awards Mitchell's team made it to the La Liga Semifinals in 2019. He received also USBasket.com All-UBA Center of the Year award in 2019.
He attended Georgia Institute of Technology until 2016 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
