Martin Chervo
Argentinian Martin Chervo (200-F-92) had a very impressive game in the last round for Danubio and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 29-year old forward had a double-double of 31 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team crushed Cordon (4-5) with 16-point margin 89-73. Danubio is placed at 7th position in Uruguayan Metropolitan. Danubio is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. In the team's last game Chervo had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Danubio's top player in his first season with the team. Chervo has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.4ppg), rebounds (5th best: 11.3rpg) and averages solid 42.9% from behind 3-point line.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 34-year old Argentinian center Ignacio Alessio (203-C-87) of Tabare. Alessio impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Tabare to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked 25 de Agosto (#11, 3-6) 85-64. This victory allowed Tabare to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Alessio is a newcomer at Tabare and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.6ppg (#4). He also registered 7.9 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was Lithuanian Zygimantas Riauka (206-C-93) of Sayago (#3). Riauka scored 19 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Sayago, leading his team to a 81-61 easy win against #4 ranked Colon in a game of the week. Sayago needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Riauka has a great season in Uruguay. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 15.2rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.3bpg and FGP: 54.0%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
