Jarrid Famous is a newcomer at Capitol

Capitol Montevideo (LUB) added to their roster 33-year old American power forward Jarrid Famous (211cm-109kg-88, college: S.Florida, agency: BIG). Famous just played at Penarol in Uruguayan LUB league.
In 2011 he was drafted by Iowa Energy (D-League) in third round (6th overall).
The former University of South Florida standout is in his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Famous is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in thirteen different countries. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Gimnasia), Bahrain (Al-Muharraq), China (Sturgeons), Israel (Maccabi Haifa), Lebanon (Sagesse), Mexico (Lenadores and Astros), Philippines (North Port and Blackwater Elite), Puerto Rico (Gallitos, Atleticos and Gigantes), Taiwan (Yulon Luxgen), Venezuela (Trotamundos and Bucaneros), NBA (Dallas Mavericks), United Arab Emirates (Al Naser) and NBA G League (Texas Legends and Iowa Wolves).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Famous' team made it to the Mexican LNBP Semifinals in 2019. Famous was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Uruguayan LUB Honorable Mention in 2021.
