This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Penarol (11-8) to third ranked Urupan (14-5) 72-71 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Penarol. Urupan made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Penarol turnovers. It was a great evening for Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (206-1993, college: UW-Parkside) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American guard Donald Robinson (192-1989, college: WVU Tech) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Urupan players scored in double figures. American John Flowers (200-1989, college: WVU) responded with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Lee Roberts (203-1987, college: Findlay, OH) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Urupan have a solid series of three victories in a row.
