Remeros Mercedes (Liga Femenina) signed 33-year old Argentinian ex-international center Ornela Bacchini (188cm-1989, college: OLLU). It is actually her comeback to Mercedes as she has played here before. Bacchini just played at Boa Viagem in Portuguese Divisao I. The last summer she played at Remeros in Uruguayan Liga Femenina where in 10 games she had 13.5ppg, 10.6rpg (#3 in the league), 3.1apg and 1.6spg.
She was a member of Argentinian international program for some years. Bacchini was called to Argentinian Senior National Team two years ago and previously for U19 National Team between 20 and 2007.
She has played previously professionally in Brazil (Catanduva) and Argentina (Velez).
Bacchini graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2014 and it is her eighth season as a professional player.
