There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Metropolitan. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of Colon at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by Tabare 82-72. American forward Miles Bowman Jr (198-1993, college: High Point) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Italian forward Xavier Couste (186-1999) contributed with 26 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Casey Jones (195-1993, college: Chattanooga) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for Colon. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tabare is looking forward to face Verdirrojo in Montevideo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Colon will play at home against Sayago and is hoping to win this game.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Larranaga and Cordon. Cordon was defeated at home 78-85 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Enzo Delgado (193-1998) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nicolas Lewis chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Argentinian center Eduardo Vasirani (206-1991) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Cordon's coach Alvaro Ponce rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Larranaga's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo San Telmo RS.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: Lagomar and Miramar. Lagomar smashed visiting Miramar by 32 points 93-61. Bernardo Barrera notched 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort. Lagomar's coach Mauricio Rodriguez felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by JMartin Mayora did not help to save the game for Miramar. Lagomar's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Stockolmo.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: winless Verdirrojo lost to undefeated 25 de Agosto on the road 73-87. Capitol destroyed San Telmo RS on its own court 88-56. U.Atletica managed to outperform O.Mundial in Montevideo 52-51. Winless Sayago recorded a loss to Stockolmo at home 66-71.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Facundo Terra of Stockolmo.

25 de Agosto - Verdirrojo 87-73

No shocking result in a game when 25 de Agosto beat Verdirrojo in Montevideo 87-73 on Monday. Even 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by point guard Giovanni Corbisiero (180-2002) did not help to save the game for Verdirrojo. Forward Martin Aguilera (195-1987, agency: Pro Sports) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. 25 de Agosto's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena U.Atletica.
