The most surprising game was a loss of Capitol (2-1) in Montevideo on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Cordon (2-1) 93-76. It was a great evening for Argentinian center Eduardo Vasirani (206-1991) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Argentinian forward Fabian Ramirez (200-1990) helped adding 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American Anthony Danridge (196-1986, college: N.Mexico) with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Important game to mention about took place in Montevideo. U.Atletica (3-0) saved a 2-point derby victory at home edging 25 de Agosto (2-1) 89-87 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Latraius Mosley (198-1990, college: Life) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Nicolas Pereyra accounted for 26 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Dennis McKinney (193-1998, college: Mt.Mercy, agency: GoEmpire Group) came up with 42 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for 25 de Agosto in the defeat. U.Atletica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Lagomar.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Lagomar (#3) and Stockolmo (#8). Stockolmo was defeated at home 83-93 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The best player for the winners was Federico Haller who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Facundo Terra who recorded 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Lagomar's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo U.Atletica.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 3: winless Sayago lost to Colon on the opponent's court 78-82. Larranaga managed to outperform San Telmo RS in a home game 87-74. O.Mundial managed to beat Miramar on the road 76-70. Tabare defeated Verdirrojo on its own court 89-77.

Rather expected game when Sayago (0-3) was defeated on the road by Colon (2-1) 82-78 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Casey Jones (195-1993, college: Chattanooga) who scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Argentinian point guard Sebastian Alvarez (185-1989) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard German Silvarrey (176-1987) who recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Argentinian center Agustin Caffaro (211-1995) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Colon will meet Verdirrojo (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sayago will play against Tabare and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Larranaga looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Iraqi center Ihab Al-Zuhairi (210-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 18 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Agustin Cabillon (198-1995) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. There was a minor upset in Montevideo where Miramar (1-2) was defeated by O.Mundial (1-2) 76-70 on Saturday. O.Mundial outrebounded Miramar 54-36 including a 41-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Miramar's players. The best player for the winners was Brazilian center Romulo Gusmao (208) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Emilio Taboada (191, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.
