Round 9 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Cordon (7-2). They were defeated by fourth ranked Colon (7-2) 81-77 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Cordon. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Colon forced 25 Cordon turnovers. Forward Gianfranco Espindola (196-1999) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and point guard Felipe Garcia (173-1999) chipped in 16 points, 7 assists and 6 steals. The best for the losing side was Argentinian center Eduardo Vasirani (206-1991) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds.
