Caceres number one in Uruguayan Metropolitan for round 5 (by Hoops Agents)

Power forward Hernando Caceres (202-PF-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Larranaga, receiving a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Miramar (#13, 1-3) 84-75. It allowed Larranaga to consolidate first place in the Uruguayan Metropolitan. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Larranaga already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Caceres had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Larranaga, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Hernando Caceres averages this season 16.0ppg and 7.6rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Argentinian Martin Delgado (202-C-1994) of Miramar. Delgado had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Miramar lost that game 75-84 to league's leader Larranaga (#1, 5-0). This loss caused Miramar to drop to 13th position in the standings. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Miramar managed to get this year. Third on the list of top players last round was Panamanian guard Trevor Gaskins (188-PG-1989, agency: Pro Sports) of O.Mundial (#11). Gaskins got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds and four assists. Despite Gaskins' great performance O.Mundial lost 91-94 to slightly higher-ranked Capitol (#9, 2-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of O.Mundial ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gaskins could help O.Mundial to bring them higher in the standings. Gaskins has a very solid season. In 5 games in Uruguay he scored 17.0ppg.
