The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: D.Sporting (#3) and 25 de Agosto (#4). 25 de Agosto was defeated at home 54-60 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. D.Sporting forced 19 25 de Agosto turnovers. It was a good game for Argentinian swingman Agustina Garcia (173-1996, agency: BIG) who led her team to a victory with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian center Ornela Bacchini (188-1989, college: OLLU) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Venezuelan point guard Jormelys Urbina (170-1996) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds for 25 de Agosto. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. D.Sporting maintains third position with 4-3 record having just one point less than leader Remeros. 25 de Agosto at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Bottom-ranked Juventud is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to eighth ranked Lagomar (4-1) 101-45. Center Selena Medrik (177-1992) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Natalia Quevedo chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Karina Acosta (-1986) with 25 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lagomar maintains eighth position with 4-1 record. Juventud at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Lagomar will play against higher ranked Remeros (#7) in Mercedes in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Juventud will play at home against Urunday and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Camila Kirschenbaum notched 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds by Abril Ramirez did not help to save the game for Hebraica. Aguada have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 5-2 record behind leader Remeros. Hebraica lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with six games lost. Aguada will meet at home 25 de Agosto (#5) in the next round. Hebraica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Yale.

In the last game of round 6 Remeros beat Urunday on the road 65-58.

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Remeros (5-0) beat 9th ranked Urunday (1-4) in Montevideo 65-58 on Sunday. Remeros forced 27 Urunday turnovers and outrebounded them 44-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Julieta Laubert notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and center Melina Zapata (180-1989) supported her with 7 points and 9 rebounds. Even 16 points by forward Antonella Ormando (-2000) did not help to save the game for Urunday. Forward Eliana Florencio (-2004) added 5 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Remeros have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 5-0 record. Loser Urunday keeps the ninth place with four games lost. Remeros will meet at home Lagomar (#8) in the next round. Urunday will play against Juventud in Las Piedras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
