Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Penarol as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Penarol edged 3rd ranked Aguada in Montevideo 88-87. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Aguada. Penarol looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Shaquille Johnson (191-1990, college: Marshall) scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese-American center Malik Dime (206-1992, college: Washington, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Dominican center Luis Santos (203-1994, college: St.Louis) with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Penarol (13-2) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Nacional. Aguada at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Aguada will play next round against strong Nacional trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo - Nacional. Penarol will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Defensor. It will be extra interesting game as Defensor is their local rival from Montevideo.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Nacional (#2) and Trouville (#8). Trouville was smashed at home by 20 points 79-99 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Nacional's coach Alvaro Ponce used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by Panamanian Josimar Ayarza (205-1987, college: Southern Miss) did not help to save the game for Trouville. Nacional have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Penarol. Trouville at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Cordon. Nacional's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Aguada.
