Club Atletico Olimpia Montevideo (Metropolitan) landed 30-year old American 203cm forward Josh Morris (college: UTPB). Morris joins another USA player Stan Scott who is already in the roster.
He moved there from Villa S.Martin in Argentinian La Liga. In 19 La Liga Argentina games he averaged 11.3ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.5apg last season. Good year as he was voted League Player of the Week. The last summer he played at Orange (Liga Basquet Pro) in Ecuadorian league. He helped them to make it to the Ecuadorian Liga Basquet Pro final.
He has played previously professionally also in Chile (Puerto Montt).
Among many awards Morris' college team won LSC Tournament in 2017. Morris was selected to Latinbasket.com Argentinian La Liga Argentina All-Imports Team back in 2020.
He graduated from University of Texas Permian Basin in 2018 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball. Morris played also for Panola College for 2 years.
