Sebastian Ottonello gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan Metropolitan (by Hoops Agents)

Sebastian Ottonello (200-PF-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Club Atletico Olimpia Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Goes (#7, 7-6) 87-82. It allowed Olimpia to consolidate first place in the Uruguayan Metropolitan. Olimpia have a solid 11-2 record. In the team's last game Ottonello had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Olimpia, through which he has constantly improved. Ottonello has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 18.3ppg), rebounds (5th best: 10.3rpg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 58.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Brazilian center Sergio Conceicao (209-C-2000) of Larre Borges Montevideo. Conceicao impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. It was enough for L.Borges to edge the higher-ranked U.Atletica (#2, 10-3) by 2 points 68-66. This victory allowed L.Borges to move up to 12th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-8 record. Conceicao is one of the most experienced players at L.Borges and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 12.5rpg and 3.6apg.

The third best performed player last round was Nicolas Martinez (206-F-2003) of Larranaga Montevideo (#10). Martinez scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of Larranaga, leading his team to a 85-77 win against the lower-ranked O.Mundial (#15, 2-11). The chances of Larranaga ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Martinez could help Larranaga to bring them higher in the standings. Martinez has a great season in Uruguay. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 0.7apg (5th best). He also has 1.8bpg and a FGP of 60.3%.
