Liga Femenina round 7 most important game was a victory of Yale over 3rd placed Aguada 67-56 on Friday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Yale forced 22 Aguada turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-2003) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Argentinian point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) contributed with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Natasha Dolinsky (173-1997, college: Lincoln, MO) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds for Aguada. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yale (6-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Malvin. Aguada at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. Yale is looking forward to face Remeros (#5) in Mercedes in the next round. At the losing side Argentinian point guard Abril Ramirez (167-2000) responded with 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fourth ranked D.Sporting (3-4) 57-51 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Karina Jacob who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. D.Sporting's coach Fabian Boscardin used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Julieta Laubert came up with 10 points and 9 assists for Remeros in the defeat. In the last two games of round 7 winless Hebraica lost to undefeated Juventud on the road 32-67. Tabare was destroyed by Lagomar on its own court 52-75.
