Couste's 39-point game gives him Metropolitan Player of the Week award

25-year old ITA-URUn forward Xavier Couste (186-F-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for Montevideo Basket Ball Club and receives a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 25.
He had the game-high 39 points adding five rebounds and two assists for Montevideo in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Lagomar (#5, 13-10) 86-84. Montevideo maintains the 12th position in Uruguayan Metropolitan. Montevideo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-13 record. In the team's last game Couste had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Montevideo's top player in his first season with the team. Couste has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.7ppg) and averages solid 54.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Randy Rickards (201-F-2000) of Verdirrojo Montevideo. He is American forward in his first season at Verdirrojo. Third place about best performers goes to forward Agustin Zuvich (201-F/C-1995) of Larranaga Montevideo (#3). Zuvich scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was a key player of Larranaga, leading his team to a 81-80 win against #2 ranked U.Atletica in a game of the week. Larranaga needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 9 lost games. Zuvich has a great season in Uruguay. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.4ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.1rpg (6th best). He also has a FGP of 63.0% and 3PT: 42.5%. Agustin Zuvich has also Uruguayan passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
