Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Lagomar (#4) and Capitol (#6). Capitol was defeated at home 72-80 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Capitol. The best player for the winners was Colombian forward Michael Jackson (192-1987) who scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Cape Verdean Victor Andrade (202-2000) chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds. Lagomar's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Mateo Bianchi (203-2002) who recorded 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Lagomar maintains fourth place with 15-10 record. Capitol at the other side keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Tabare.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of U.Atletica. It was a good game for American Zoran Talley (198-1994, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Justin Strings contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American-Nigerian Okanu Kingsley (202, college: GVSU, agency: Helping Ballers) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds for U.Atletica. U.Atletica's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Goes have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. U.Atletica at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost.
Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Montevideo: Olimpia (#1) and Larranaga (#5). Larranaga was crushed at home by 17 points 81-98 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It was a great evening for Stan Scott who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Mateo Bolivar with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Olimpia. They maintain first place with 20-5 record. Larranaga lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost.

Other games of round 27 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
bottom-ranked O.Mundial was defeated by Colon in a road game 80-68. Sayago smashed Tabare at home 92-69. Bohemios were destroyed by L.Borges on the opponent's court 105-83. Montevideo unfortunately lost to Verdirrojo in a home game 76-80.
The best stats of 27th round was 27 points and 10 rebounds by Randy Rickards of Verdirrojo.




Colon - O.Mundial 80-68

There was no surprise when 15th ranked O.Mundial (6-19) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Colon (13-13) 80-68 on Thursday. Colon forced 19 O.Mundial turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Manuel Oyenard (194-2000) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Argentinian Valentin Duvanced (, agency: BIG) helped adding 13 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward Justin Tucker (202-1998, college: Keiser) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and forward Emiliano Gonzalez (201-1988) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Five Colon and four O.Mundial players scored in double figures. O.Mundial's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Colon moved-up to eighth place. Loser O.Mundial stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost.

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Sayago (11-14) smashed at home higher ranked Tabare (13-12) 92-69 on Friday. Sayago dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tabare's 34. Sayago looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for American center Earl Watson (201-1990, college: URI) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Emiliano Bonet (186-2001) helped adding 22 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Juan Zanotta (185-1995) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sayago moved-up to tenth place, which they share with L.Borges. Loser Tabare keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Capitol.

Rather expected game in Montevideo where 13th ranked Bohemios (9-17) were rolled over by eleventh ranked L.Borges (11-14) 105-83 on Saturday. L.Borges looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Fernando Verrone (201-1988) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Yari Acevedo (190-1997) helped adding 21 points. Five L.Borges players scored in double figures. L.Borges' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was forward Octavio Medina (195-1996) with 26 points and 6 assists and point guard Brian Garcia (182-1990) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. L.Borges moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Sayago. Loser Bohemios dropped to the fourteenth position with 17 games lost.
