The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: D.Sporting (#4) and Urunday (#6). D.Sporting (4-5) crushed visiting Urunday (0-9) by 36 points 82-46. D.Sporting dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Urunday's 32. D.Sporting forced 23 Urunday turnovers and outrebounded them 63-42 including a 46-34 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Brazilian power forward Karina Jacob (187-1985) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Krystal Cordara (169-2002) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Abril Mieres (170-2000) who recorded 5 points and 16 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. D.Sporting maintains fourth place with 4-5 record. Micaela Aguerre stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The best for the losing side was Camila Rijo with 8 points and 13 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Tabare maintains tenth place with 2-5 record. Loser Hebraica still closes the standings with eight games lost. Tabare will meet at home higher ranked 25 de Agosto (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hebraica will have a break next round.
