Nacional looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American guard Michael Smith (193-1995, college: CBU) who saved his team from a defeat with 30 points and 8 assists. Panamanian power forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-1989) contributed with 27 points for the winners. American center Franklin Hassell (205-1988, college: ODU) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) added 24 points and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Aguada. Five Aguada players scored in double figures.
