Conceicao number one in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso for round 6

Sergio Conceicao had an amazing evening in the last round for Larre Borges Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 6.
The player had a double-double of 18 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed Montevideo (#10, 1-4) with 22-point margin 91-69. L.Borges maintains the 6th position in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. L.Borges will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Conceicao had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at L.Borges, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Sergio Conceicao has solid league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 11.7rpg. Conceicao is in league's top in and averages impressive 3.2bpg and 57.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Cuban Arle Zaporta (C) of Yale Montevideo. Zaporta had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Yale lost that game 75-83 to the higher-ranked Lagomar (#2, 5-1). This loss caused Yale to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Zaporta is one of the most experienced players at Yale and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-G/F-1986) of Club Atletico Olimpia Montevideo (#11). Hilliard showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Olimpia, leading his team to a 90-81 win against slightly higher-ranked Colon (#9, 2-4). Olimpia can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. The season just started for Hilliard as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
