The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Yale (#3) and Malvin (#2). Malvin was defeated at home 56-70 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Yale forced 19 Malvin turnovers. The best player for the winners was Paula Fernandez (178-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Argentinian forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Malvin's coach Juan Serdio rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yale (9-3) moved-up to second place. Malvin lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with three games lost.

Argentinian Camila Suarez (178-2000) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. Josefina Rivera contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Belen Moreira (-1999) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds for Lagomar. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. D.Sporting have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-1 record. Lagomar at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Urunday.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Montevideo. Local Urunday (5-7) outscored 9th ranked Tabare (3-9) 82-43 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tabare. Melina Marcial stepped up and scored 13 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Chiara Collazo responded with 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Urunday moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Lagomar. Loser Tabare keeps the ninth position with nine games lost.
In the last game of round 5 Juventud was defeated by 25 de Agosto in Montevideo 77-66.
