Grytsak number one in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso for round 2

Ukrainian Andriy Grytsak (201-SF-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Atletico Atenas Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (16 points, nine rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat L.Borges (#4, 9-5) 68-59. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Atenas maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Atenas will need more victories to improve their 10-4 record. In the team's last game Grytsak had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Atenas, through which he has constantly improved. Andriy Grytsak has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 9.2rpg) and averages impressive 1.6bpg,2.2spg and 53.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Kwame Alexander (200-F/C-1990, agency: BIG) of Places 9-13 second-ranked Atletico Tabare. Alexander had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Tabare lost that game 86-91 to Montevideo (7-7). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Alexander is one of the most experienced players at Tabare and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Martin Tessadri (200-C-2001) of Colon F.C. (#7). Tessadri scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Tessadri's great performance the Colon lost 64-66 to Olimpia (#6, 8-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Colon ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Tessadri could help Colon to bring them higher in the standings. Tessadri has a very solid season. In 14 games in Uruguay he scored 12.0ppg.
