24-year old guard Santiago Vescovi (191-G-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Club Atletico Penarol Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had the game-high 30 points adding five rebounds for Penarol in his team's victory, helping them to crush Nacional (#8, 1-1) with 25-point margin 87-62. Penarol is placed at 2nd position in Uruguayan league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Penarol won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Vescovi had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Penarol's top player in his first season with the team. University of Tennessee graduate has very impressive stats this year. Vescovi is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.5ppg) and averages solid 3.5spg,83.3% FGP and 45.5% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Quatarrius Wilson (203-C/F-1996, agency: One Motive Sports) of Union Atletica Montevideo. He is American in his first season at U.Atletica. In the last game Wilson recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led U.Atletica to another comfortable win outscoring Cordon (0-3) 104-84. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Wilson is a newcomer at U.Atletica and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.0ppg (#4). He also registered 13.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Earl Clark (208-PF-1988, agency: BIG) of league's leader Atletico Aguada Montevideo. Clark scored 26 points and passed 4 assists. He was a key player of Aguada, leading his team to a 118-105 easy win against Urunday (#5, 2-1). Aguada has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Clark also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Clark has a great season in Uruguay. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.5ppg (best scorer).
