Experienced American Donald Sims (190-SG-1987, agency: Pensack Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for Atletico Aguada Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 38-year old shooting guard had the game-high 27 points adding two rebounds and seven assists for Aguada in his team's victory, helping them to beat Bigua (#7, 8-7) 95-87. Aguada is placed at 4th position in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Aguada will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game Sims had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Aguada's top player in his first season with the team. Donald Sims averages this season 21.3ppg and 4.5apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Ty Prince (198-F-1999) of Union Atletica Montevideo. Prince impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led U.Atletica to another comfortable win 91-75 over the lower-ranked Welcome (#12, 1-14) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. U.Atletica keeps 9th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-9 record. Prince is a newcomer at U.Atletica and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Connor Zinaich (201-F-1997) of second-ranked Nacional De Futbol Montevideo. Zinaich scored 24 points. He was a key player of Nacional, leading his team to a 120-91 easy win against the lower-ranked Welcome (#12, 1-14). Nacional needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 4 lost games. Zinaich has a great season in Uruguay. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.7ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 9.0rpg (2nd best). He also has 2.0bpg and a FGP of 67.3%.
