Aguada - Nacional 89-109

Nacional dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Aguada's 28. They outrebounded Aguada 47-23 including a 30-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Connor Zinaich (201-1997, college: Nova SE) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Italian point guard Luciano Parodi (182-1994) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Five Nacional players scored in double figures. American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 18 points and his fellow American import swingman Jordan Williams (196-1992, college: N.Texas) scored 15 points. Aguada's coach German Cortizas rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.

Defensor - Penarol 61-81

Penarol forced 24 Defensor turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. Defensor was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Martin Rojas (195-1998) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Brazilian Gabriel Galvanini (204-1998) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Penarol players scored in double figures. Even 6 points and 8 rebounds by Venezuelan center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville) did not help to save the game for Defensor. American Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) added 11 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
