We bring you last week's top performances from Venezuelans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced former international swingman Cesar Silva (190-81, currently plays in Ecuador). He led Iccan to a victory against the eighth-ranked Leones (2-9) 80-66 in the Ecuadorian National League in Tuesday night's game. Silva had a triple-double by scoring 13 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and passing 13 assists in 40 minutes on the court. Club Iccan de Macas (10-1) is placed first in the National League. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Silva has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.2ppg, 7.2rpg, 5.1apg, 2.1spg, 2FGP: 55.9%(38-68), 3FGP: 37.3% and FT: 65.9% in 11 games he played so far. Silva has a dual citizenship: Colombian and Venezuelan. Former Guaiqueries de Margarita starter played for the Venezuelan senior national team five years ago.

Second place goes to former U21 international guard Jesus Centeno (190-85, currently plays in Ecuador) is a teammate of previously mentioned Cesar Silva and both played together in the last Ecuadorian National League game. Centeno was the major contributor in Iccan's victory against the eighth-ranked Leones (2-9) 80-66. He scored 19 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 7 assists. Centeno has relatively good stats this season: 14.5ppg, 6.4rpg, 5.3apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 55.6%(40-72), 3FGP: 38.6% and FT: 73.7%. He played for the Venezuelan U21 national team in 2004.

   #3. The Venezuelan player who performed third best last week abroad was former international swingman Rafael Perez (193-82, currently plays in Puerto Rico). Perez managed to help Capitanes de Arecibo in a victory against the leader Vaqueros (4-3) 83-76 in the Puerto Rican BSN on Monday night. He recorded 5 points in 7 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group B. Capitanes de Arecibo (4-3) is placed first. It's Perez's first season with the team. This year Perez's overall stats are: 2.9ppg, 1.1rpg, 2FGP: 51.0%, 3FGP: 40.4% and FT: 57.7% in 43 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Venezuelan and Puerto Rican. Former Trotamundos de Carabobo starter played for the Venezuelan national team four years ago.

   #4. Guard Michael Flores (192-85, currently plays in Bolivia) could not help La Salle Tarija (11-1) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Flores' very good performance the first-placed La Salle Tarija (11-1) was defeated 80-76 on the road by the second-ranked CAN Oruro in the Group B. He was the top scorer with 30 points. Flores also added 5 rebounds. This season Flores has very high stats. He averages: 30.5ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.3apg and 2.2spg. Flores used to play for the Venezuelan national team back in 2012.

   #5. Former international forward Jhon Romero (199-85, currently plays in Ecuador) was not able to help Piratas (8-3) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Piratas lost 74-84 in Santo Domingo to the lower-ranked (#5) Guerreros. Romero had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 13 rebounds in 40 minutes. They ended the series of six consecutive victories. This year Romero has relatively solid stats: 14.1ppg, 11.5rpg, 2.6apg and 1.3spg in 11 games. He used to play for the Venezuelan national team seven years ago.

   #6. Swingman Emilio Cappare (199-90, currently plays in Ecuador) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Triple E-Uda (1-10) 89-73 in the Ecuadorian National League on Friday night. Cappare scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. H.R. Portoviejo Manabi (4-7) is placed seventh in the National League. It was his team's first victory after five consecutive loses. Cappare has reliable stats this season: 14.5ppg and 4.5rpg. He is a former U18 international player as he played for the Venezuelan team ten years ago.

   #7. Former international forward Derwin Ramirez (191-82, currently plays in Bolivia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Michael Flores and both played together in the last Bolivian Libobasquet game. Ramirez was not able to secure a victory for La Salle Tarija (11-1) in their last game. Despite his very good performance La Salle Tarija lost 76-80 in Oruro to the second-ranked CAN Oruro in the Group B. Ramirez was the second best scorer with 15 points. He also added 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in 30 minutes. Ramirez has very impressive stats this year: 15.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.8apg and 1.7spg in nine games. He used to play for the Venezuelan national team five years ago.
