Venezuelan Luis Risquez will join Osbel Caraballo at Saint Thomas Aquinas (NCAA)

Venezuelan PF-C Luis Risquez (204-F/C-00), a 2.04m tall player from Anzoategui state who spent the last few seasons playing for Faith Christian Academy and Upper Room Christian School in the United States, has agreed to join fellow Venezuelan Osbel Caraballo (196-F-98) as a student-player of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartans of the NCAA's Division II.

Guided by coach Joan Sanchez and the Ensueno Hoops Foundation, the 19 year-old player got a scholarship at Upper Room Christian School and he averaged a double double in points (15.0 and rebounds (12.8) in his last season at the high school level.

Risquez will join a team that includes other international players such as Kobe Opoku from Ghana, as well as Caraballo, who averaged 17.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in 30 gamesm including 48% in three-point shots.
